The E3 is the entry point into DS Audio’s acclaimed optical system — a cartridge and equaliser working in perfect harmony to extract detail, dynamics, and delicacy from your records like nothing else at this level.

Unlike conventional moving coil or moving magnet designs, the E3 uses a light beam and photo-detector to read groove movement, completely eliminating magnetic field distortions and providing an astonishingly open and low-noise presentation.

The included equaliser is not a phono stage in the traditional sense, but a bespoke optical processor delivering flat RIAA playback with line-level output.
